Nude ProGenius Rescue Oil

Nude ProGenius Rescue Oil

I ordered a sample of this Nude ProGenius Rescue facial oil in my 'make your own box' from Latest in Beauty back in March, I've been using it after cleansing each night since and have only just ran out even though it was a fairly small sized sample. The good thing is that you need so little, just a couple of drops, that even this tiny bottle lasted me a decent length of time.

The Claims

"An ultra-sheer, skin-saving oil that revives and smoothes skin texture with powerful antioxidant protection. ProGenius Rescue Oil is all-natural and vegan.

It helps repair and refine texture for satin, flawless skin, works to clarify the complexion and provide environmental protection, making this a true lifesaver for your skin."

The Ingredients

Isoamyl Laurate, Rosa Rubiginosa Seed Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Squalene, Bakuchiol, Coleus Forskohlii Root Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Carica Papaya Fruit Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Fragrance, Citral, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool

The Immediate Concerns

My skin is combination to oily most the time, except for when it's feeling really annoyed with me then I develop super dry, peeling patches on the sides of my nose so when faced with an oil I'm always slightly wary due to being oily most of the time already, I just envision my skin becoming an oil slick. I hear many tales about how even oily skin needs oil but haven't been able to find an oil I'm comfortable using. Until now.

How Did It Fair?

I found the oil to be very light and quickly absorbed into my skin, and it didn't leave a heavy oily feeling behind. Although I've read there's a scent to this I haven't noticed it myself however I tend to follow up with a night cream so that may be masking the scent from me. I haven't had any dry patches appear recently between using the glycolic and lactic acids and this oil which is nice because it can get very sore when it decides to peel, not to mention look dreadful.

My Conclusion

I do like the Nude ProGenius Rescue Oil and if I were gifted it I would happily use it up as I like how quickly it sinks in and the lack of a heavy oily feel on my face afterwards, however at £58 for 30ml it's not the cheapest facial oil available out there, also as it contains carrot root extract which could cause dermatitis for people with sensitive skin, it's not necessarily the holy grail of face oils.

Is this something you have tried, or have you tried a facial oil that's even better, let me know in the comments below.
