The Immediate Concerns

When you read the claims and ingredients list for this cream you would believe you'd found the holy grail of skin creams, with all the plant extracts and oils, including but not limited to; Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Argan Oil and Pomegranate Oil. All wonderfully hydrating, anti oxidant rich ingredients.

However the further down the list you go the lest active the ingredients are, which is no bad thing in relation to the red ingredients, of which there are only five, being near the bottom of the list and therefore only present in low concentrations.

But it does mean some of the other ingredients such as Mangosteen extract, Urea, Coconut fruit and Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (or Orange) which all contain skin nourishing properties, are also there only in lower concentrations.

Still this cream is packed with many benefical goodies, so on to the next question;

How Did It Fair?

Previous to using the Cult 51 Night Cream this was my go to night cream, while it's geared towards being a day cream I found it too heavy and sticky to wear under makeup. But it was ideal for night wear, especially after a Gycolic Acid Peel (more on that at a later date) It does smell of coconut, so if you're not a fan of that scent this is obviously not for you, but I didn't find it overwhelming.

My Conclusion

Would I buy it again? Yes more than likely, however I'm planning on trying out some others from the Dr Organic skincare range first, and at £8.99 it's extremely affordable.

  1. I tried in the past the Dr. Organic Rose Otto Face Scrub and it was so good to my skin, I liked it a lot! Rose is usually an ingredient and scent that I prefer, but I wouldn't mind trying the coconut too! :)

    1. The smell of roses always reminds me of my nans garden, relaxing tbh, Ill have to get some. 😊😊😊😊
