April | Product Empties

I seriously cannot believe how fast time is flying by, it doesn't seem five minutes ago since I was writing about my March Product Favourites and now I'm here writing about my April empties.

Without much further ado, and because it scares me to focus on the speed that time is going by, here are my April empties.

The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club - Spring 2016

a picture of The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club Spring 2016 box
Last month when looking at subscription boxes to try I came across the Discovery Club by The Fragrance Shop which sends out samples of fragrances every quarter for a fairly small cost which is then refundable against the cost of one of the fragrances (whichever you choose) included.

Liebster Award

I was nominated for this award by Madi from Glamorous Mayhem, so thank you sweetie for that.
This award has been doing the rounds for a good number of years now, I actually got nominated for it back when I ran my old blog several years ago. It's a way for smaller blogs to gain recognition and is given by bloggers to other bloggers.

Tony Moly I'm Real Sheet Masks - Rice Clear Skin

A picture of all Tony Moly I'm Real Sheet MasksI remember when I was blogging before, sheet masks were becoming a bit of a thing but one I ignored for a long time to be honest. However after following Biancardi on Instagram, who posts about all sorts of masks I was inspired to start trying some for myself. So I purchased all 11 of Tony Moly's I'm Real sheet masks from Amazon for a mere £8.48 with free P&P.

Holika Holikia Silky Foot Mask Sheet

I work on my feet, have done for twelve years, that's eight hours a day, five days a week. I haven't done the maths but that's a lot of time standing up, not counting any time outside of work either, so obviously the skin on my feet gets a bit battered. So with that in mind, I decided to give Holika Holikia Silky Foot Mask Sheet a try.

Strivectin Illuminating Serum

I chose Strivectin's Illuminating Serum in my 'build a box' from Latest in Beauty primarily from the claims that it would "diminish dull skin, even skin tone and enhance overall clarity," of the skin. My skin isn't particularly dull but I do have different skin tones across my face, from perfectly decent to the Rudolph the red nosed reindeer affect and a few other shades in-between. So anything that could even out those tones would get a thumbs up from me.

Blog Announcement and Giveaway News

Blog Announcement & Giveaway News

From today 7th April 2016 I will be posting twice or three times a week rather than daily as I have been doing, it was always my plan to slow down to two or three times a week but first I just wanted to get some content on my blog, hence the daily posts since I re-started last month.

The main reasons behind posting less often is because I work full time, I am also chief chef, bottle washer, house keeper, food shopper etc and also I have health issues, not least amongst them insomnia, that leads to sheer exhaustion on a regular basis, so I physically cannot keep up with posting every single day.

I do hope I won't lose anyone who reads my blog often because of my decision to slow down a bit, I just don't want to burnout.

Something I do have coming up in the next week however, is a giveaway. This is to say thank you to all those readers who have helped my blog reach 5000 views within one month, which I'm so chuffed with I can't tell you.

The primary part of the giveaway will be the chance to win what you voted for in my poll, a MAC palette x 9 eyeshadows as you see below;

Skin Food | Honey Black Tea Cleansing Cream

Skin Food Honey Black Tea Cleansing Cream.

So, I wanted to try some Korean beauty products after hearing more and more about them of late, and me being me, I found a recommended Korean website (RoseRoseShop) that sells them and looked for something to catch my interest, the most scientific and reasoned way of trying new products right?

After a while browsing I come across Skin Food Honey Black Tea Cleansing Cream, now I'm a huge tea lover, and I also love honey so I'm sold, I don't even check reviews online, I just pop it in my basket and clicked buy.

It also helps that Korean Won is converted into American Dollars, which as we all know is less than our Pound Sterling, so 5,390 the price of the honey black tea cleansing cream, translated to $4.81 or £3.37, total bargain.

All About Hand Care

I'm going to let you in on a 'skincare hack' I discovered a while ago all about hand care, I came to this realisation after years of having major issues every winter with the skin on my hands, like my mother before me, when the winter comes along the skin on my hands throws up the white flag of surrender and goes into meltdown.

I would have liked to have shown you how my hands looked during that time but I haven't any photos as I no longer get into that state for one reason and one reason only.

March | Product Favourites.

I can't believe a whole month has passed already since I decided to start blogging again, it's been a hectic time for me with work being super crazy and re-starting the blog, it's been particularly hard finding a place to take photos, especially before the clocks went forward again, now thankfully I can go into the garden for an hour after work and get some decent shoots done with a garden table, a white canvas and some artificial roses.

Makeup Revolution London - Ultra Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again about how I'm not the worlds biggest makeup wearer, I know that's slightly odd for a beauty blogger but I think it's totally possible. One of the few makeup products I do wear though is blusher, and that is because I am so pale that without some blush I would look like a ghost.

I posted not long ago about NARS Sex Appeal one of my favourite blushes, since then I've hit pan and am coming to the end of our wonderful companionship. Not to be left blusher-less I popped into Superdrug intending to buy Revolution London Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar, however my Superdrug was sold out so I grabbed the Sugar and Spice palette instead.

Murine Bright and Moist Eyedrops

A picture of Murine Eyedrops Bright and Moist

I don't know if you're an eye drop user too, but I suffer terribly with dry eyes, and with that comes the grittiness, the itching, the redness. If ever there was a way you make you look tired and haggard without actually being tired and haggard it would be by having glowing red eyes. (okay maybe not glowing but red, definitely red)
